THE DESIGN
My description for this project goes as follows: The idea for these pieces was originally surmised as a simple concept: I wanted to convey not only an idealist origin story, but a mindset of utter drive and determination to succeed within athletics as a whole. With this rather vast concept in mind, I did want to pinpoint a certain entity or something in general that would bring the entire capsule down to Earth for obvious reasons. Furthermore, I also wanted to keep the “Street” part of “Street x Sports” intermingled with this “drive” concept. Thus, I began to create my own take on the capsule collection, consciously trying to intertwine not only the competition embodied via “sports”, yet the variance within “street."
CONTEXT
This was my first-ever entry on the prospect100 site. round21 is a lifestyle and sports brand founded in 2021. For this brief, we were simply tasked with creating a capsule collection that included a mini basketball hoop, a football, a hoodie, and a tee. All logo and design work is mine (besides round 21's logo).
